How many of my Femme beauties have tried microdermabrasion treatment, if you haven’t, is this something you would try?
Well, I had the opportunity to have my first microdermabrasion experience. I went to Massage Envy and before I had the service provided, I had a consultation with one of my favorite estheticians, she looked over my skin and explained step by step the process and provided me with all the details before moving forward with the service. Honestly it took me a couple of months to make my decision. My initial reaction to the service was no, not interested and that was mainly
because I really didn’t understand how it worked.
I needed more information. It was important for me to understand the type of product that I would be using, how it would affect my skin, and if the product had different levels of strength.
My esthetician was very helpful and answered all my questions, which put my mind at ease. I was mostly afraid if the chemical would strip away my skin and create discoloration. She was able to clarify how the product really worked. First, she had to choose the product that best fits my skin type. My main reason for doing the treatment was to reduce my pores. Before deciding, be mindful of your skin and what your skin can handle.
My treatment was gentle, I didn’t need anything harsh; day one I noticed some dusting and no side effects. But that may not be the case for everyone. I continued to watch my progress for the next 7-10 days. I was given specific products to use for those days. I must say I was very pleased with my results. Here are some benefits and disadvantages.
